Am I the only one on the planet that is experiencing this? I hope for my sake I'm not.

I have been seeing a doctor for two or three years for hormonal replacement therapy. I've never been on HRT before so I can't know what to expect, but there are a lot of things that I'm experiencing that I don't know what to think about. The biggest concern that I have is male pattern baldness. Estrogen and Spironolactone has not prevented my hair line from receding. I'm losing hair at quite a rapid rate. I think I've already lost one centimeter on my hair line in the four months that I've been keeping up. Everywhere else on my temples has drastically thinned.

I want an orchiectomy practically asap. They're expecting me to go full time for a while first, but as more time passes I lose more hair. I think it's going to eventually cost me thousands to replace all the hair that will be lost. My situation is desperate. Is anyone else experiencing this? I haven't heard of this happening to anyone.

Should go on at least Finasteride, and if you feel like to pay twice that, on Dutasteride.

It will stop a lot of T to DHT conversion, one of the main factors in advancing male pattern baldness.

Those items are NOT really AAs and will NOT replace Spiro. They be over and above Spiro and E.

Good luck,

Some of us girls just have to fight it tooth and nail.  Don't let it get you down, hun.  I know it is terribly depressing.  But you really can whip this thing.

I had lost a good bit.  But I have just finished my second round of transplants and am so excited about the results!  About to let my real hair all grow completely out!  I had the front redone and the rest has responded well and grown in.  It isn't cheap, though.

And before you do anything like that make SURE you have your hair loss under control.  In addition to E and Spiro, I take Finasteride and use Minoxidil.  I also take Biotin.  I also use a laser comb, which has helped a good bit.   And I use Nioxin shampoo.

I actually have a friend whose orchi did not stop the thinning for her.  So YMMV.

This is what I have found to work for me.  Once it starts there is no substitute for hard work.  But if I can do it, I know you can too.

Bets of luck, sweetie!  HUGS
