Everyone here is just too sweet.  Honestly.  Most forums have mean people, but this one just has sweet people with great tips.  Marelivki, thanks for the tip!  I've already worked on my voice and it is right where I want it.  Ayaname, Morgan Freeman has a beautiful voice!  You are right that it totally wouldn't work with a girl, though.  That might confuse some people beyond the realm of reality.  I just bought two pairs of ankle boots for winter and the cashier was very sweet and I don't know if she thought I was a boy or a girl, but she said "Oh, these are so cute!" when she opened the box.  Preparations for full time are go!

If your avatar is really you then you should have no problems as far as your looks go.  Make sure you plan out your first excursion, where you want to go, what you want to do.  For the first time avoid your local community; walking around the block and avoid highlighting yourself, try to avoid being the only person walking around where people are naturally going to look at you, such as riding down an escalator.  Crowded malls, or markets are a good place to start as folks are too busy with their own business to worry about you, hussle and bussle are your friends, and window shopping is a good a way as any to pass time.  Avoid line-ups for cash registers etc and even the washrooms as while you wait folks have the opportunity to closely scrutinize you. Malls and markets almost always have public rest rooms which are safe havens should you need to take refuge to calm nerves, make adjustments etc (Just make sure you use the right one).  If your voice is a problems nods and smiles go a long way.

If you own a car then this can best the best way to go as although you are out in public you are also in your own little world.

The big thing is not to attract attention, keep it short, and have fun.
