Isis King, the first transgender contestant to appear as a finalist on "America's Next Top Model" is coming back to national television as part of the show's 17th season, which has an all-star theme.

The 25-year-old New York City resident, who is originally from Prince George's County, will be one of 14 memorable models from past shows picked for a second chance to sashay their way to potential modeling contracts, cash and other prizes. (The winner of the show will have a contract with Covergirl Cosmetics, a spread in Vogue Italia, an Express fashion campaign and the opportunity to become a correspondent on "Extra.") The new season will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 9 p.m. on The CW.

"I'm excited to see my client Isis King in cycle 17 of 'America's Next Top Model (All-Star Edition),'" said King's manager Delano when reached for comment this morning. "It's great that Tyra (Banks) has said herself 'Isis is the most talked about Top Model in the history of the show.'"
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde
