For the money order itself, it might take 3 days to get to its destination. Depending on what company or personal party you are dealing with, they may delay the order a week or perhaps less, so the money order will clear. I know some businesses that are hesitant to take money orders and when they do, they treat them like personal checks. They will not send anything out until the check or money order has totally cleared the bank.
