I am starting to get slight breast tissue growth, and now a concern has set in. Irregular nipple placement.  I am so worried that my nipples will be sideways, Im wondering if anyone has experience with this, if it is fixable via surgical methods, and if the results are truly worth it.

You should stop worrying. My nipples point outwards, one of my boobs is bigger than the other and their slightly lopsided...which are some of the many things boobies can be.

Yeppurs...and a lot of people would do well to watch the interviews at the end of the movie Breast Men (dealt with the creation of the silicon breast implant) and see just how many different shapes and sizes the natural breast came in for natal women.

Two months into my HRT, my left nipple is more sensitive but the right side is showing the shape of the beginning of a breast more than the left side.

It's a ribcage thing. Male rib cages are larger than female rib cages. This forces breasts to point more outwardly than natural female breasts. I've been using rib crushing cinchers lately to try and correct this a bit, as unwise as it is in regard to health. They also add some figure to my waist and make it difficult to overeat. On the downside, I've been having nose bleeds lately, which could be a number of other things from the dry air, having just moved from the far more humid east coast. It could be my hormones. It could be me shoving my finger up my nose, gross I know.

On the other hand, it does do a good job crushing my 36" waist down to 33"

Well, to tell me to stop worrying, and me actually not worrying are two completely isolated events.
I understand about variety and individuality and wabi sabi when it comes to breasts. However, I am sure many bio-chics have issues with their unique shapes. Henceforth my curiosity into possible surgical solutions and desired results if anyone was in the "know".

When it comes to passing, I am dealing with a very, very critical crowd: Me,myself, and I.

I understand the symetry, and the issues that us trans girls deal with when it comes to actual breast growth. For me to accept it "as is", there would have to be no other option. However, my journey has only just begun, so I do not know the final results. So yes, I am projecting a bit, but thats me, Ive always been this way. In fact, in a strange way, its what has made me successful in my profession, however it can be a bit of a turd when it comes to some things :-)

I can really relate to this.

This will probably seem completely contradictory, but the more you worry about something (your appearance, your voice, railing a corner at speed) the more likely it is to be an issue and the more likely you are to not manage to do it. Conversely the less you worry about something and the more confident you are, the more likely you are to succeed. Don't get cocky, but if you've done everything you can to make yourself ready for something, be confident in yourself and go for it.

Also don't micro analyse every last inch of your self, looking for flaws or supposedly masculine features...because you'll find them. Heck you could do the same with any attractive woman. If you do find youreslf doing stuff like that, stand about 6 foot away from the mirror and then look at the whole...I bet you like what you see.

THIS...

I think I am pretty, but definetley have wayyy muscular shoulders. I know in time though, this will diminish.  I just dont want my nipples to be sideways.  No question or consideration needed. If I have to, I will get surgery. Just wondering if anyone''s had an experience with this, or if breast augmentation fixed it by itself?   This post is really just a step in the direction of discussing this with an actual surgeon, however, surgeons are doctors and I always get the feeling they are trying to sell me something.

Do you breath with up chest or lower? I lost some muscle off my ribs by learning only to breath with stomach. Like when you get relaxed you breath with it. Lost some muscle off my back too. Takes time to see changes though.

Honestly, your breasts aren't going to look normal for quite some time. They will grow in lopsided, irregularly shaped, and what have you, for a while. Eventually, it will all even out in basically all cases. The first two months on hormones, one side was growing way faster than the other and I was panicking about it. Now, almost three months in, and the growth is definitely more even. It takes time. Be patient. :D

In all seriousness and honesty, lots of girls nipples point in all sorts of directions. And their boobs are different sizes.

The reason most people are not aware of it is that, for most of us, the vast majority of breasts we've see are in nude photos. (Face it, it's true, for both g sexes). The models in those have been selected for their appearance. I also sincerely doubt there will be any complaints that porno photos have been touched up.

Everyone worries about how their body will look, while it's developing. But the reality is, like everything else, it going to be a matter of self confidence, not appearance.

Change is unsettling, even when it's change you want and have instigated - because it so rarely happens completely on our terms. Be kind to yourself, it's easy to find things to worry about in times of change and instability, so rather than trying to push worry down or away, just devote some time to thinking about the good stuff too, it help to keep perspective. For example:

You're growing breasts!!! :D

YES! it seems so surreal.
Especially considering all the gifts that I have in my life right now.

Doesn't it seem surreal?

We're actually becoming ourselves on the outside. We're going through the right kind of puberty.

We're actually doing this.  :)

I think lots of teenage girls spend lots of time comparing boob growth, so us late developers are going to do the same. And lots of plastic surgeons know all about every woman's insecurity about her breasts. And will correct it for a fee, even if it is not needed to be corrected.

This, too.

Jillian,

From the way it sounds, it's way too soon to be worried about this. Your breasts will go through many phases of growth and will have many shapes as they develop. You can expect many experiences along the way, some fun, some painful and sore, but all exciting. Your nipples will go through many changes as well as the aesthetic breast. The important thing is once you have enough breast tissue to support is to start wearing a bra as much as possible because it helps direct and shape the growth.
