Scar Removal Techniques

Has anyone tried microdermabrasion on their surgery scars? What were the results? I've heard good things in general about the treatment and am thinking of giving it a try.

I've been using the graston intense massage techniques developed for high level athletes to break up my top surgery scars using some homemade tools and have seen marked improvement in scar density in the 2 weeks I've been doing it. I learned about this from my chiropractor last year when I had a shoulder injury and it healed from just a few treatments.

What other techniques have you tried and did they fail or succeed?
