BRITAIN hatched a bizarre plan to win the Second World War by turning Hitler into a WOMAN.

The Allies secretly schemed to smuggle female sex hormones into the Fuhrer's food in an attempt to curb his ­aggression.

If the plot – like something out of TV comedy Blackadder – had gone ahead, it could have turned Herr Hitler into Her Hitler.

I suspect this story will become part of WW2 folklore soon. No doubt backed by discoveries of elaborate plans and influential backers. It's purpose will be invented soon after.

With the amount of utterly preposterus and far fetched notions, regularly taken as concrete fact, about WW2, it is unlikely this silly idea will be the subject of much scrutiny.

Though the feasability of using female hormones to reduce agression, not to mention the problems of actually smuggling the stuff in, given some of the utter nonsense we've already been convinced is fact, about Hitler's domestic life, doesn't seem to be much of an issue.

Still, never mind the quality, feel the width.

This all assumes that Hitler's actions were based around his gender/hormones, of course - imagine if he'd transitioned into a 2nd wave radfem Fühererin. The thought makes my Jewish-bio-male-trans-bisexual blood curdle.

I find the media's intent to sensationalize this disturbing. Clearly estrogen would not turn Hitler into a woman, as any of our FtM members can attest. What the media is not reporting is that at this period in history psychiatrists were experimenting with estrogen to treat schizophrenia. Under the assumption that Hitler was schizophrenic, that's what they were planning to change.

That's the same theory they used to try and change gay males into straights using estrogen.

After recently reading the information that came with my Estradiol prescription, the idea may not have been as far fetched a solution as some of us here think!  A nice little thrombus loosed in ol Adolph's blood stream (in his brain stem area) in 1940 would have certainly changed world history.  The Patient Information Sheet I am looking at sounds like the stuff is a death sentence, and you are walking the green mile to the execution chamber every time you take one. 

On the other hand, I worked for government too many years to discredit this off hand.  Some of the brainstorming sessions I have sat in on could have ended up with them switching the water pipes in his bathroom so he would have scalded his backside off every time he took a dump.
