Top surgery is a long ways away for me, but I'm jut curious how you go about using out of state surgeons. Like I'm on the west coast, so if I wanted to go to one on the east coast would I have to fly out for a consultation prior to the set surgery date (like to see if I can go with the peri or keyhole) or do you do all the scheduling via phone, etc and go for a week or so to meet them and get it done? Thanks guys!

Hey kyle,
It really depends on the surgeon.  Every one I spoke to wanted an in person consult except Dr. Garramone in Florida.  Dr. G. does his over the phone with images you send in from various angles.  He accepted my letter from out of state and all my blood work, no problems at all.  In fact his office has been great to work with.   If you have to pay out of pocket, you may want to consider him.  He has one of the best reputations out there and is also one of the cheapest you will find.   I am paying for hotel, rental car, air fare, surgery and lipo (mansculpture)..... all of that is only $400.00 more then just the surgery alone here where I live.

As far as the docs who want to see you in person... I did not call them all.  I called about 12 and I was floored with the prices and the fact I had to make 3-4 trips total for the whole process... consult, surgery, surgery follow up and then another follow up later on for some.  Just something else to consider and ask about is how many total trips you would have to make.
