I was standing outside of work with my boss smoking a cigarette, and she was talking about how she quit 8 years ago, said that when she had kids it helped her quit, and she stops what she is saying for a second and says to me.

"Do you have any kids?"

me- "oh, no"

her (chuckles) "none that you know of! haha"

me- "haha, yeah.. none that I know of!"

thought that was cool, cause obviously, as a trans man it would be impossible for me to have a child and not know it, but, anyways I love being stealth at work. Also, isn't it interesting that people always assume that others are straight, I suppose I do this as well, i thought everyone at work knew I was gay (I thought it was obvious!)

Hahahah that's awesome. Whenever I say that most of my exs have kids people ask if they're mine and I say 'there's no way they are' but I think that comes across as an ->-bleeped-<- thing to say and they go 'well you never know for sure'. They also just assume I have sex with all my girlfriends too, which most of them I didn't. People also think that I'm homophobic just because I'm a straight male, it's odd.
The story is the same, I've just personalized the name.

Hah, nice one. But yeah, people do always assume others are straight. Weird.

I'm guilty of that unfortunately.

That's a pretty reasonable assumption, it's not like half the population is gay haha

hahaha that's hilarious. isn't it weird that a lot of people assume that because you're a male that you're a sleazebag too? obviously not everyone, but since I started presenting as male I've been on the receiving end of so many more comments like that, about random hookups and impregnating women... even/especially from strangers.

yeah haha, it came by such a surprise when she said that, especially because I have never even been with a woman, and I dont think i look like a sleezebag lol

I've gotten that online a lot. Never IRL yet, but I don't socialize with people really unless it's absolutely necessary, or someone who knows me personally.

I tend to err more on the side of assuming people are gay.  But where I live, a lot of people are, so I suppose it's somewhat reasonable.
