i honestly don't know how much longer i can hang on...
i'm mtf living in tacoma washington. i've been living full time for a few years now but i still feel stuck in the beginning and its killing me. i don't drive, i don't work and i don't have any support at all.

i just got insurance at the beginning of the year and just found an endo in tacoma who takes my insurance and works with transgendered people but i know my insurance doesn't cover for hormones etc.

i hear of free clinics in virginia but nothing at all here...

i'm in a very dark place and any words at all would be appreciated.

Hi there.

It sounds like you're going through a lot right now and I'm really sorry to hear that.

I'd been feeling like I was in a dark place for about six months prior to now and have only just started to come out of it. At the time I didn't believe things could get better but they have.

It's really important to reach out and by posting here you have. Is there a free phone counseling service in your area? If not you can go the local ER, it's important that you do just talk to someone if you can.

Have you been seeing a counsellor or psych? It sounds as if you may have depression. If you do, it can be treated.  They can also help you work through the other issues you mentioned.

Things can get better. Just make sure you reach out for help as it is available.

I had a friend Mckenzie who lived there but i don't know if she is still there anymore. However, you need to go to seattle to the trans clubs and meet some friends. You have to get out and meet people if you want to progress. If your too young for that try a lgbt center or look online for others like you on say facebook.. hugs
I'm an Amazon womyn + very butch + respecting MWMF since 1999 unless invited. + I AM A HIPPIE

I haven't been to WA (save an hour or two in the Seattle airport to change planes once) but from what I've heard I'd think there would have to be resources there you can take advantage of. It seems like a good area. You might have to dig for them, but they are probably there.

I know it is hard (trust me I know lol) but don't let the haters out there win. Keep up the fight and don't give up. You can make it.

There are, a ton of them, it's just that they are in Seattle not Tacoma.  In much the same way that everything in the Bay Area is in SF and not Oakland or San Jose.

I lived in Tacoma for many years and went to College and ran my own business there.  It's a very open minded area with good public transportation and I think they have even put in a rail to connect Tacoma to Seattle.  Maybe you should apply for work at University of Puget Sound, City of Tacoma, Lowes, etc.
