A WOMAN who used to be a man and found herself homeless, jobless and humiliated is now in treatment to become a man again.

Adriana was born in Madrid but grew up in Valencia after being adopted.

[...]

"This has been the hardest stage of my life, having to go back to being a man because nobody would give me a chance as a woman – I've even had to change my profile on social network sites," reveals Adriana, who is now halfway to becoming Juan Daniel again.
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde

I've even had to change my profile on social network sites

Well in that case...

How do you go back if you have had srs anyway

No mention of that.  Could be one of those people who wake up and say, "well I'm transitioned now" without HRT/SRS.

Some fool with more money than sence.

Big deal.

Sorry to appear so flat, but the publicity given to these isolated cases is more telling than the story itself.

Shock horror as man buys newspaper then regrets it. Campaigners call for the newspaper to be closed down as a result.

Bigger shock horror as man expresses regret over career choice. If I'd known then what I know now I would never have become a wallet inspector. I think the entire practice should be banned.

I read the very sort article, and I feel for her. :(

My mother used to tell me, "on your quest to set the world on fire it is okay to come back for some matches."  Perhaps on the road to becoming herself, she needs to take a few steps back due to the recession, get her financial life in order with her mother, then try again later at a more opportune time.
Ill no longer be defined by my condition. From now on, I'm just, Kate.

It can take a great many years though to setup a career and even then it could give you the boot after starting it all.  I mean look at a great many of the posts here about how their GiD made them feel for the years they waited.  It was like having a knife stuck in their spine 24/7 but instead of dying they lived for each wonderful moment.

It just isn't that simple.

Somebody tried to stab me, I could easily be homeless or in prison in an instant, I get looked at weird sometimes, it's proving impossible to find a job, the list goes on...

Life is still better this way. Depends on your interpretation.

At least the first person didn't do it for attention.. and i am sure they are forced into this article by whoever is helping them survive now. That other person is all about their money and attention.

I passed better as a female but i didn't like the attention i was getting from men. Yes i get strange looks because people don't know what i am which is fine by me because it keeps men from being interested in me. Men like attractive women. I also like how i am not all focused on my appearence and now i can just be more comfortable. Here in amish country its best i come off as a guy than as a butch lesbian identity. And ironically i am taking care of my mother too. But she nor i was homeless. But i would be homeless if i hadn't taken her in and bought this farm. Without her i couldn't afford to buy and repair this place. I am almost to the point that if she passed i could survive here on my own. One thing i definately like being known as female to the rest of the legal world, which has benifits for simple respect from authorities and i also like my female name verse my male one. I guess i am a true androgynous person. I would never ever want to be totally male. That was a nightmare for me. I am glad to be 14 yrs post op. That was a blessing from above.

I thought I remembered her face.  Do a search for Samantha Kane and she shows up on certain pages of trans regret.  Interview from BBC1 in 2004.  She seems pretty good at getting interviews.
