I had a routine office visit with my General Practitioner Doctor today. I'd been seeing her 4 times a year during my transition and she did most all of my needed pre-exam work, to qualify me for my GCS.
I met first with her Nurse, who hadn't seen me before. She was having trouble getting the computer to bring up my history. I asked her if she knew anything about me. She shook her head. So, I had some fun. I said I'd been born a male, but Dr. X (the GP) had helped me transition to female and get my surgery and now I was all complete.... She was stunned. I guess you could say I successfully passed.

I told her that I was going to let Dr. X check out the results and asked her if she'd like to see, as well. She lit up like a child at Christmas.
Then, I met with Dr. X, whom I have come to love dearly. I asked her if she wanted to see Dr. McGinn's work and see for herself what an artist Dr. McGinn is. She was also quite eager.
So, they put me in another exam room and gave me a gown. When they came back and I put my feet in the stirrups and they got their first look, their eyes got huge. They said in amazement that I was perfect. I pointed out all the reference points and they could not believe how I turned out. They said there was no way in the world anyone could ever tell that I hadn't been born this way.
I felt great and have helped educate more people. I am helping more and more people understand this condition and the treatment for it. My Dr. said she has seen post ops before. Apparently, based on her reaction, I must have looked better than what she's seen.
Thank you Dr. McGinn.
