My name is Preston (well, that's what I've been going by for the last five years) and I'm a 25 year old female. I moved from Reno to Boise five years ago to get away from some bad situations and to reinvent myself. I decided on Preston because it was androgynous. I dated both men and women, was even married to a man once. But within the last six months I finally came out as a lesbian. I remember being a young child being sad and angry that I was born a girl. When I wore a dress to school on picture day I was always super uncomfortable. Any contact with other women (like hugs, not sexual) was always extremely uncomfortable for me. I feel like I was supposed to be a man. I give myself migraines choosing what kind of gender I'm supposed to dress that day. I feel more comfortable in men's clothes. I guess I just don't really know what to do. A good friend suggested this site so I know I will get helpful feedback here. Thanks.

Welcome, and don't stress so much, you will figure it all out in time.  It may take a while, it may come to you quickly but I'm sure you will figure out who you are, so just chill and soak in information, and you can make posts in other areas too.
