I woke up a few hours ago (4:45 am local time), thinking,
"Boy am I glad my therapist was able to talk me into waiting untill after the surgery to start wiening myself off the Prozac."
'cause I can only imagine how bad I would feel without it this morning.

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

Yes, had I had a little of the blues. It was more frustration of not being able to maintain the level of activity like i once did before. I'm not sure if the felling i felt interacting with people after the surgery has anything to do with the blues or not. I know going back to work after two month off and dealing with the people at work had something to do with it too.

I been taking off from work, hiding in bathroom during work, and sometimes just coming home after work, not dilating and going to sleep at 6pm, calling it a day to deal wth the blues.

I remember actually feeling the really relieved.  I thought it was just the end of a long road, but after surgery, I realized that the journey had just begun.

Yeah some say coming off the drugs that they got a short bout of depression as well.

My "feeling down" periods came a couple weeks after when things weren't healing very fast and things looked horrible, esp compared to a gf who had her surgery the day after mine.

Others have also said that once you have surgery....that focal point of transition is finally done with and you have climbed the mountain....and it's hard to imagine where to go from there....and that can cause some depression too.
