Some people say that homosexuality is a sin.  It's not.  God is perfectly cool with it, and he feels the same way about homosexuality as he does about heterosexuality.  Now you might say, 'Woo, woo', you move too fast. How could you have the audacity, the temerity to speak on behalf of God?  Exactly, that's an excellent point, and I pray you remember it.

Good point.  And if they say God told them, you can get them into a Psych Ward! >:-)

Pffft. They're just say, "The Bible told me so."

Actually the Holy Spirit keeps telling them the most marvellous - also foolish things --- like have 6 or 7 pretty girls as extras to their married wife.

Telling them you have some doubts about THAT! You are immediately accused of committing the unforgivable sin: Speaking against the Spirit. Hello?!

Been there, got the cap and the t-shirt.

Ha!

Took me a second. I should really start to get my brain running. I'm being slow at grasping and stuff. :/ Good one though.

Nice quote but it will fall on deaf ears.  The people who need to get this are the same people who think God only speaks to them and their kind.

Those dudes who wrote the bible did such a bang up job it made later dudes declare the bible is god's word and that sucked those dudes who believe them into a Stepford Vortex.  Apparently it's a diffi-c-u-l-t place from which one can extricate oneself.
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

It's what is called 'cultural Christianity'. Many LGBT reject the bible and Christianity because of biased people who call themselves 'Christians'.

I think in the AP English classes they call it 'satire' or 'irony' depending on how you want to read it.

I always tell religious people that the only difference between us is that I don't believe in exactly one more god than they don't believe in.

Tekla Thanks for this wonderful quote.
Those bible belt people apperently seeming to know exactly what God wants.
They know the do's and dont's, at least they are pretending to know.
But maybe Ted is right.
Te bible....who has written it?
I never trust a book without the name of the author

My $0.02....My opinion on humans and their various gods: If you have The Word From On High, STFU...if God wanted me to know, God will have to get off his arse and tell me himself.

That's possibly a better quote than the original one
