I have been on E about a month, and in the last couple of days my nipples have started aching, and tiny lumps have formed behind them. Woop Woop! First few steps on the boob rollercoaster, and I am soooo excited!

Yup.  I started at 41, I'm now 38.

Weird! I was 38, measured 33" 10 years ago when I was pure male, and Im still the same after a year of hormones... :/  With my chest measurement of 37 around, doesnt make me happy about my cup size.
Did you happen to have any muscle or anything that moved that could have changed the size?

Indeed!  Measured 38 in March, down to a 34 now.  There are more than just ribs involved, there are muscles surrounding your entire ribcage--front, back, and sides.  When they collectively shrink from HRT, you can lose a surprising amount of girth in that region.

Not that I knew of!  In fact, I've gained 20 pounds (which I did intentionally).  When I was measured in March, I was 120.  Now I'm 140.  Height is 5'11" so I'm only just reaching a normal weight for my height.

Yup, it happens!  Perhaps counter-intuitively, the measurement includes your back muscles, which shrink over time on E.  I started out with a 37 underbust measurement and am now 32-33.

Your back muscles, side muscles, chest muscles, and intercostal (between the rib) muscles will all lose bulk on MTF hormones. So while the breasts are growing, the overall circumference of the upper torso is shrinking.

I went up 16 pounds. Not happy about being hevier, but dont mind where it went! 😉 I like my new hips, ass, theighs, breasts, and sofened face.
Well... I hope my torso shrinks, althought Im not expecting it since its been a year. How long until your band measurement started to go down?

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I am at the "olive behind the nipple" "it hurts" stage. JUst in spiro but soon to start E. Seeing budding was so emtotional that I cried fo a while. Now, it seems I cannot keep my hads of them, checking ythem out to make sure they have not goe away.

I have run into like a wall or a door with my one of my nipples taking the main part of the impact, I fell to floor in pain, I guess this is like the female equvalent of being hit in the balls.

I had band size reduction as well, so HRT does lowers your ribcage!

I just rubbed my nipple on a door by accident today. Barely a impact, but enough to have me whimper and hold my breath. I think a full hit would be more painful than a hit to the balls

I'm not quite 4 months, and there's things definitely happening. I wouldn't say it's painful, but I feel it. When I carried a computer tower against my chest the other day at work I was like... Hey!!! That's annoying!!! Whoo-hoo!!! My areolae (sp?) seem to expand and relax, almost at random, but they're definitely way bigger than before when relaxed. I figure it's all the mitosis taking place. It does seem to be happening faster than I expected, especially since I am older (41) and on a low dose of E.

However, I am waiting for the day when my all belly fat magically shifts down to my thighs and butt... can someone give me the exact timetable when I can expect that to happen? LOL

I don't think there is anything like that because everyones body is different and no two are alike. tho it will happen gradually.
