I smoked when I started T and I smoked for the first 18ish months - I still had my voice drops, hair, libido, muscle/strength changes so don't fret. The problem I see is T increases your chances for cardiovascular disease, cholesterol etc (to a normal male level but an increase from our previous 'female' risk) as does smoking. Smoking also impedes/lowers oxygen carrying capacticy in the blood and this causes problems for circulation especially after surgery. Smoking can also interfere with anaesthetics.
I have been smoke free for the past 3-4 months. But I will admit to the odd ->-bleeped-<- when out on the sauce but all in all from a pack a day I'm pretty happy and it's only getting better and easier. I didn't really want to quit smoking - I did it for the health benefits and in the lead up to surgery. The surgeon the other day actually again pointed out how important it is to quit before surgery.
Quit or don't mate, you're a big boy it's up to you, but rest assured you'll still get the changes.
