I love surfing! I'm totally hooked and am turning into a surfer chick! ;)

Quite personally, I think that it is one of the best hobbies or exercise/fitness workouts out there! It has so many advantages to it and it's so much fun! I really recommend that the girls and boys on here give it a go! :)

It is such a workout! I went out today and it really tired me out and it made me realize how unfit I really am! I plan on trying to surf as much as possible, because I always seem to be so much clear-minded and relaxed after a good surfing session, which helps me so much day to day, and it'll keep up my fitness and (hopefully) tone my body some more!

If you have a spare few hours and are feeling adventurous, I think you should consider trying surfing.

I have thought about it.  I used to surf into my 20's but then moved inland.  Only problem here is the water is icy, and the swell tends to be huge.  Think I will stick to ice skating for now, although a SUP sounds inmteresting.

Really? Was that a good move for you? :)

Haha yes, I can understand not surfing in icy water, could be a tad bit uncomfortable. ;) But ice skating is an awesome activity, but I don't do it enough. Would if I could though! :)

There was a rink in the town I have moved from, but it closed just as I was starting to make progress.  There is one here in Hobart, so I will be getting back on the ice next week.

I'll have a rethink on the surfing later in the year, when the  water warms up.  Swell is apparently up to 7 metres off the south coast today.  Blowing a gale so it will be blown out.  Shipstern Bluff is just south of here, so when the waves improve I will try and get down there and get some photos. 30+ feet is pretty awesome!

I'm still new here and I am happy to know there are girls like be(besides Windy) who surf out there. I don't surf enough anymore.
