ONE:
I served in the military of the U.S. for 22 years. I went to a combat zone when my country said 'your turn...' I didn't like it, but I served.
It sickens me to see the people most for the war also the most reluctant to participate in the war. A portion of our country has been itching to have the U.S. do this for years, but they want to beat up on someone else the way 'bad' pit-bull owners want their dogs to attack and maul someone else.
And it scares me the way those who 'lead' this 'war' never really served, or avoided serving altogether, and are now REMFs 'in the rear with the gear'.
TWO:
The military in desperation for 'all volunteer' bodies are now taking and training anyone they can get including
supremacists, who are volunteering for combat arms, especially light infantry. So now we're going to mess things up at home, too, with bigoted haters with military training and combat experience living amongst us. And our REMF 'leaders' appear to be okay with that...
Would we have been so willing to do this if our commander-in-chief and his staff had to lead the ground assault and stay there until Mission Accomplished, and every person had a truly equal chance of having to serve?
