Y'all know there is a difference between covers and standards.  If they are really changing it, it's a standard, a cover is note for note copy - like a tribute band would play.

Gov't Mule is dirty Georgia hippie music .  I saw them a few times when I lived there.

Here is another one I thought of, I don't know if it qualifies as a real cover or not.

This is just a young kid on guitar playing an old indonesian keroncong song. He's not the world's greatest guitarist technically but somehow he makes it very beautiful.
