Epic moments of passing.

Apparently I pass. And pass well.

So, I'm out at school for the most part, except I've only changed my name with two teachers, and one was an ass about it and the other thought I was male even when she addressed me with my female name.

Anyway. This afternoon on the bus, I was talking to a guy who is in the grade below me (I'm in 11th grade). We had talked once before, but that's about it. He doesn't know I'm trans. At my school, 70% know I'm trans, 20% don't know and see me as bio male which is great, and the last 10% think I'm a lesbian.

So this girl was sitting across from us and she knows I'm trans. She and a few other girls that were on the bus knew I'm trans (there aren't a lot of people on our bus anymore, so most of us were sitting one to a seat).  Well, this girl, decided it would be funny to call me by my female name and pronouns but make it seem like she was slipping up on accident.

The guy I was talking to assumed I was bio male with a female name and that I'm changing my name to a more masculine name. (This is not the first time this happened. A guy in my creative writing class in 10th grade assumed I was bio male until one of his friends told him I'm trans, even though he knew me by my female name.)

I don't know what he thought when that girl said "she" and then made this huge deal about it "jokingly", but he kind of ignored it. He said that maybe over the summer I'll have a growth spurt and come back to school taller and my voice all deep.

Lol I wish.

But it was weird. I kind of want to post my pic in the Do I Pass thread to see what you guys think since I pass almost constantly.

Hi Devyn,
I'm so pleased you have passed with your own group. I think that is so important for your emotional wellbeing. I know how I feel when I'm acknowledged for who I really am. It's these treasured moments that help you defeat the ignorance and spitefulness of those weak individuals who cannot accept you. Keep going. you are doing a fabulous job.
Lotsa luv
Catherine
