So, I have been on T for 3 months now, bi weekly shots at a half dose. I just had my 3 month check-in for blood levels. My Total T levels are at 465~ ng/dl (Mods: Within rules to state levels?)

Now my questions are these: Will my levels continue to rise, have they settled or is it not apparent at this point in time? I'm asking because I was hoping that my doctor would raise me to a full dose. When asking her this she told me that they hope to gain a level between 350-700 and seeing that I was well within that range, there was no need to raise them and unless they changed by my next check-in it would stay.

From what I read for normal men is that anything below 500 causes issues, and while doctors claim as low as 200 is normal, it's within the range for complications. Also while I'm just about to 500, that's still a low point and I should be hitting around 700 at my age.

I'm just concerned about being a real range, not a normal or safe range. While I'm experiencing all the changes anyone could want (i.e. facial hair, body hair, muscle gain, weight distribution [though slow, as usual], voice drop and genital growth), I still desire this. Am I asking too much?

I'm really just frustrated... Probably for no reason. Thanks for any responses.

I shouldnt make myself an expert but I mean you often start on a small level just to check your body isnt reacting in any bad ways,

first of all your body need to get use to it, I remember my body where feeling wierd when I started T but it fast fade away, after there would be a time where I wasnt sure what kind of side effects I would get, having that in mind I think its good to start on a low dose so if you get any bad side effect you just cant live with then it should be more easy to stop,

after a while you should be able to get a bigger dose,

but again im not expert on it, I just tell out from what I think and got told,

Yeah, I'm aware of them just needing to keep my levels in check. I can't explain very well how I feel. Maybe I'm just seeking out something ridiculous.

I do hope that it can come up to a bigger dose though if it ends up alright. Thanks Natkat

If I were you this is what I would do: I'd say wait for now but if your levels aren't where you would like them by the next time you do bloodwork then talk to your doctor. In the meantime research the levels like you have been so that you have paperwork evidence for your doctor to research and if she says no again explain your concerns and show her your research. If it is really bothering you though maybe you should try talking to her again.

Just my opinion.

When I was going to my doctor, he explained that he did a three stage phase. The first phase was tanking, and that was to slowly introduce T into the system, because if you introduce a lot into a biologically female body, the sexual organs will say "WHOA!!! We need more estrogen!" And thus...your efforts are in vain. The second phase was topping, and this was the point where you find the max dose that you feel okay with, generally, you're able to figure out when you're taking too much - I haven't reached that point, but my doctor said that most people say that they want to crawl out of their own skin when they reach it. And the last was dropping, which was literally pullling the dose back down to level you out to a steady dosage.

I don't know how your doctor works, so I don't know. You'll just have to discuss this with them.
