Finding an endocrinologist.

So my therapist has wrote me the letter and I should be getting it soon enough.

I need to find a transgender-friendly endocrinologist. I think. I was told I needed to anyways.
I was also told to contact LGBT support groups and things like that to see if they knew of the right endocrinologist to go to.

I've been looking some things up but can't find just what I'm looking for.

Anyone have any advice on how I can find just where to go?

but I found someone (who was actually a weightloss doctor.) and it worked out fine. :]

It's hard.

I live in a large conurbation with about 2 million people, and I have to travel to the middle of nowhere, Virginia, which is nearly two hours away from where I live.

Endocrinologists will refuse to do your things, and you'll have to go from office to office.  Literally no one closer than two hours away would write my prescriptions and do my blood work.

My HRT doctor is a 30min walk (or 10min bus ride) from my front door. The world is a strange and random place.

Oh, and you don't need an endo. Just a doctor who has the guts to write a prescription and monitor your blood tests. It's nice to have someone experienced, but it isn't required. HRT is not rocket surgery.
