Who are some androgynous people you look up to and/or admire?
They can be real or fictional characters.

My personal favorite is Motoko from Ghost in the Shell.

I <3 her so hard. She's my wallpaper on my computer and my iPhone actually. And I have the movies and the tv shows and the comic books. Yay for badass queer females.

In real life, Ivan E. Coyote is pretty awesome.

And Gwen Haworth, of course.

And I don't really know anything about her, but I love Erika Linder's style.

For fictional, there are tons. But some cool ones, other than Major Motoko Kusanagi, are...

Nan King (Nancy Astley) a male impersonator from Sarah Waters' Tipping the Velvet.

Viola from William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night (if you don't know the story, she pretends to be a bloke for most of the play).

Alanna Trebond, a girl who becomes a knight, from Tamora Pierce's Lioness Rampant series.

Kara Thrace, the fighter pilot from the Battlestar Galactica remake.

Arya Stark, the tomboy princess from George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Katerina Donlan, tech genius and potential queer from Gunnerkrigg Court by Tom Siddell

Lisbeth Salander from Stieg Larsson's Mellenium series

Katelyn

Andrej Pejic of course

Pete Burns lately has had some problems looking a bit artificial, but I still admire his "I'll be whatever I want to be and I don't care what anyone thinks about it."  He has a male body and identifies as male but has a female looking face (through plastic surgery) and wears female clothing.
