Transgender Lobby Days

We invite you to join us for two days of training and lobbying in Washington, DC during one of the most critical Congressional sessions for transgender equality.  With a trans-inclusive Hate Crimes bill recently passed in the House, and an active effort underway to introduce a trans-inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) in Congress for the first time, the transgender community urgently needs to educate our legislators.  Read More...

but you're aware Washington has one of the highest crime rates in the US....
Hmmm would love to help either way but my darn calander is sort of full right now!

Looks like this is a 2006 event  but the issues are still on the table. and ENDA is high on the list for the gay lobby this year.
it may be that they have not updated the webpage.

Oops Sorry Julie  i found their press release that has the 2007 dates.  but i not totaly crazy their web page has the wrong year posted.

I don't think ENDA is something we should support.  Trans inclusion or no trans inclusion.  If the government is allowed to tell people they must hire us, then they're allowed to tell them they mustn't hire us.  It's not a power the government should be permitted to hold.
