doc said the liver has worked way too hard for way too long. she does not know about my 'mones, but i think she suspects. after all the boobs, curves and hair reduction. and she said after the blood test my testosterone is at 75 and estrodiol is 59. even when i was off the hormones and anti antidrone for a week. she said my body is converting the T to E. and i should see another doc specialist for possible pituitary issues. I day liver first, cut way back drinking - not that i drank much, and we'll play it by ear on the rest... :-\

I'd be telling your Doc about your hormones, she can't make an accurate diagnosis if you hide all the facts from her.. This is just common sense.. Do you really want to get sent off to a possibly expensive specialist, who may well want you to have expensive diagnostic tests?

Be honest with your medical professionals or they cannot provide you with the right or best care..  :eusa_doh:

What is your ALT level? Fatty liver is usually a sign that you are headed to or a type 2 diabetic which can usually be turned around by weight loss and exercise.

gonna hold on any specialist, not sure i can afford more tests, and Jessica AST 49, ALT was 65 before i got on the wagon and yes they are and have been high for over a year. I hit a very deep low 2+ years ago when God decided I was to be alone in life (3rd time so I got the message- tired of funerals) and spent a lot of time in a brown bottle. got back on the 'mones back then and got 'my head right' and feeling much better about myself and life in general for a while now.

Or, if you told him about your hormones... he could do things like, ohh, i dunno, switching your method of delivery to something else that is easier on the liver? (are you on pills now?)

Why hide stuff from your doctor? They can't go around telling everyone (there are plenty of laws to protect against that)... the only thing it does is keep them from being able to treat you.

If you are afraid the doctor won't be accepting of trans people, go and find one that will.

I'm going to take a guess and say the OP is going the DIY route and this is why they won't tell their doctor..  And if not, your doctor can't tell any one anything you don't give them permission to - or else they leave themselves open to law suits and having their license to practice restricted or removed..
