White House names liaison to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community

The White House today named Gautam Raghavan as its new LGBT liaison in the Office of Public Engagement (OPE). He replaces Brian Bond, who left to become the Democratic National Committee's director of constituency outreach. Raghavan is currently serving as White House liaison at the Department of Defense and previously worked for the Democratic National Committee as Midwest finance director and director of the Indo-American Leadership Council.
