Open letter to the Presbyterian Church (USA) from Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Anglican Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu penned an open letter congratulating the Presbyterian Church (USA) for "making room in your constitution for gay and lesbian Christians to be ordained as church leaders, you have accomplished an act of justice."

His letter comes out on the heels of the ordination of the first openly gay minister Scott Anderson this past Saturday. Task Force Faith Work Coordinator David Lohman was at hand to personally return Anderson's stole, which he had donated to the Shower of Stoles Project after he had been outed to his congregation and forced to resign 21 years ago.
