LinkAs for food, AsiaSF's executive chef Matthew Metcalf will oversee the L.A. menu until Young and Hashbarger hire a chef. The plan is to put the restaurant on the ground floor, where they'll also stage their famous gender-illusionist performances; the nightclub will be upstairs.
Hashbarger says he is familiar with the L.A. transgender community and should have no shortage of potential performers. "There are so many beautiful girls there," he says, predicting that celebrities will also be in abundance.
