Was about to ask the same question, Masha.

We desperately need a sports thread even though it will be painful to have to refer to football as "soccer". ;)

My gay ex is a soccer player for the SF Spikes. I am more into American football, boxing, kickboxing, etc.

Hanging out with all those straight guys made me more of a sports fan.

Is that MLS? If so I'm well impressed. We don't get any gay soccer players over here, it's not allowed even if they were to exist which of course we all know they don't ;)

No, it's the Gay soccer league. He was turned on by my femmieness, but the fact that we could watch the game and listen to dance music/

It was fun, but guys that hot don't stay with one guy.

Sadly we don't have a Gay football league here in the UK but have just discovered we are current Gay world champions which is something our Straight team hasn't a hope in hell of achieving.

Another American football fan here. Like baseball, hockey, basketball, monster trucks, etc. Just about anything besides tennis or golf.

Doesn't the UK also have that "chase the cheese wheel down the really steep hill" competition? I love that!

On a positive note Mark Cavendish won the mens' road race at the cycling world championships today. The GB team dominated the whole race and it's our first male victory for nearly for nearly 50 years since the late tragically lost Tom Simpson. Competitive cycling was my sport until a series of knee injuries ending in a shattered kneecap ended it for me.

On a negative note I suffered a whole afternoon watching QPR scape a stoppage time draw against Aston Villa. Why I follow a team that gives nothing but years of suffering and inevitable disappointment is beyond me but that's football for you. Am still furious with the idiot referee!

I've recently started kick boxing. My b/f was like, "You're so little and femme" and I am like, "Girls can kick ass"
