Ever just been going along, having a normal day - then get hit with a mind-numbing depressive mood, right out of the blue?

Actually, I was rather hyped until about 10 minutes ago, when for what seems to be no reason, I got knocked down to being trash in my own head.

I don't know why this happens, but my own negativity becomes seriously overwhelming sometimes. I can't just cry, either. It's like there's this big barrier preventing me from expressing my unnecessary dismay... which somehow makes me feel worse than I would if I could just get it all out.

Tak,

It sounds just like me - having those wild moods. Those Hyped up moods masking a rather said interior. I have had to slow down my life and find more time to relax. Hope all goes well.

Transition aside, I'm a single parent going through a divorce with a full time job and no child support, unfortunately there's very little time to slow down.

I'm happy again, thanks to my daughter. I told her the other day that today (my day off work) I'd be taking her to dinner to a restaurant of her choice, and that with the tax return we'd be buying a game of her choice. We had fun buying the game. She beat me to the toy department by running like mad, and she had fun at the restaurant talking about playing the game while we ate. Great incentive to get her to eat her veggies, I might add! We had fun playing it (Elefun, by the way, her biological mother wouldn't ever let me buy it for her, so what if she's a little old for it?!) and read some books, had dessert, and she's in bed now.

Amazing how good of an impact a child can have on someone's poor mood. I just wish those wouldn't hit me out of the blue for no particular reason.

I'm hoping the same thing. Bipolar disorders run in my family, and it's scary to think I might have that too.
