It's okay to enjoy a show while being aware of and bringing attention to its problematic aspects, such as this instance.
I am not giving justification for transphobia because there was no transphobia in the show.
There was nothing offensive or wrong with what the show did or said. see below.
But if y'all want to keep believing everyone victimizes you so you have something to complain about, go right ahead. I won't stop you after this.

I don't think so. I think it's way simpler than that. I think it was simply the character stumbling over his words, and it came out wrong, which is part of acting, to make it seem realistic. and that could have totally happened IRL, too. It only sounded like he was calling trans people an "it", but if you heard the context, he actually wasn't.
No one in the show is going to jump up and say, "Hey that's not cool to call trans people an it!" This isn't LogoTV.
You were supposed to laugh that he was stumbling over his words. and that was it. move on.
I honestly think no one needs to be offended by this. I had to even replay the scene like 3 times to even hear exactly what he had said. He said it so fast. everything he mumbled fit into like 3 seconds.
The show did not have a trans person in it.
In fact, in a previous season and episode of Psych, there was a transgender/cross-dresser in the show, and I thought they were very accepting of it and no one in the show was offensive at all.
