Nope, not the US but Spain

Congress today approved a new law which will allow transsexuals in Spain to change their name and the sex shown on their DNI identity document, before being subjected to surgery.

Oh... pooh.  I was all excited waiting for my browser to display this post.  And then its in Spain!

But... good for them. It will happen everywhere else before it happens here I suppose.
