Hi guys I'd thought I'd come and say hello and introduce myself.

I am soon to be 40 years old and I live with my partner who is an FTM, pre everything. We live in the UK and it takes forever to get to the hormones stage, the waiting times are horrendous, but were almost there! He just finally had his doctors appt through the gender clinic which is the next stage, and hopefully prescription of T, he will be going on Nebido. Were both very excited that he is nearly there with regards to getting hormones, therapy seems to be going on forever.

Were both big supporters in the community, I help manage and contribute to a fairly well known SO channel on YouTube, and he also manages one as well. I love giving support to other SO's, with the advantage of finding out so much about myself, and how I am handling the whole process. As I do find certain aspects hard to deal with.

I am a mother of 2 and I co parent his Niece with him. Which has had its ups ad downs. We have been together 2 years and 3 months, and I identify as a lesbian. Which some people find strange.

Anyhow, I look forward to getting to know you guys and hope we can all help and support each other on our journeys with our partners.  ;D

Hi Silverman,

Welcome to Susan's. And thank you for being so supportive. You are certainly a unique individual with such a positive outlook. The longer I live in this community, the more I come to believe the SO community are the real unsung hero's.

The challenges of being transgendered are horrific at best; but the unique position the SO's are placed in are equally, if not more so, horrendous. At least most TG's have had an inkling for some time,'things haven't been quite right'. But the plight of the SO is thrust upon them, somewhat 'overnight.'

There are some wonderfully genuine people here and a lot of good factual reading. I hope we can be of assistance to you both. Please keep in touch and let us know how you both are coping. Hope to get to know you soon. Best wishes

be safe, well and happy
Lotsa luv

Hallo!  ;D

I must say first, that your partner is VERY lucky to have you there supporting him through this most difficult and trying time in his life.  Just know that when the going gets rough, the path to happiness is always well worth it in the end.

I hope that we, as significant others, can be there for one another as our partners go through the journey of feeling right in their own skin.

Best wishes and much love!~  :D
