(RNN) - Millions of celebrities, corporations and average Americans are celebrating Spirit Day Thursday by wearing purple in solidarity with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth who are bullied because of their sexual orientations.
Brittany McMillan, the 16-year-old founder of Spirit Day, which launched in 2010, took some time to reflect on what the day means to her.
