Hi,

I have quite alot of body hair but I'm in two minds whether to get hair removal done on the face first or whether to start with the chest. I really would like to start on the face but I do not want to develope breasts full off hair.
So my question is - does hair on the chest disappear after a number of months on hormones? As hair removal is seems expensive I would really like to do one at a time.

I found that my body hair has reduced after starting HRT - but mostly due to waxing.. Each time I wax, what grows back is lighter and finer..

Your chest can be covered up, your face cannot without extensive amounts of make-up, but let's be real - no girl wants facial hair.  Save your money for the face.  As mentioned above, the body hair will subside through taking hormones.  I can't say with certainty it will disappear, but it will become very controllable.

I can only speak for myself, but in the short time I've been on HRT, I have lost a significant amount of chest / torso hair. It's not all gone, but many times I will stand over the sink or in the shower and run my hands over my body and dozens of strands will fall out. It is one of the quickest changes I've experienced so far. It's not all gone, but it's definitely coming out quicker than I would've imagined.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

OK, Epilators are a girl's best friend; you will most definitely want to get one! :) If your body hair is pretty thick, or long, you may also want to consider purchasing a hair trimmer; it will make epilating your problem areas a LOT less painful if the hairs are already very short. If you still find that pain is a problem, take a hot bath & gently exfoliate the area to be treated beforehand; also if there are no contraindications, an aspirin or another mild painkiller can help take the edge off. The only other thing is, you will want to go over each area slowly to reduce the chance of any hair breakage. After a while, you'll notice that the hairs will grow back finer and finer, so it will be less painful removing them each time; if you're lucky you may also find you have a lot less regrowth! ^^...If you're like me, the type who has incredibly sensitive skin, i.e., you get crazy razor bumps, redness, and ingrown hairs from just shaving, no matter what you do—then you will want to get yourself some "Tend Skin", which really works awesomely at minimizing the frequency of these issues; although it is sorta overpriced for what it is: aspirin dissolved in rubbing alcohol :P (FYI, if you want you can easily make your own with those ingredients + a little added witch hazel or tea tree oil).  Lastly, don't forget to sterilize the epilators tweezer head & the surrounding area, before and after using it (a simple alcohol pad works great for this).

....About Hormones: Hormones, make a BIG difference! Get yourself to a DOCTOR if you haven't already, because on HRT you will not have to epilate your legs (other regions will have hair return at faster rates) except every few months or so (YMMV, of course); you may also pleasantly find as many who have been on long-term HRT, that your amount of body hair will keep decreasing until you reach a female norm* . :) You'll want to completely kill the ability of testosterone to act on your receptors (as an example, I take both spironolactone and finasteride under medical supervision), while reducing the overall level of testosterone your body produces with a doctor-recommended estrogen. ~No matter how shaggy you are to begin with, or how miserable and dysphoric your body hair is currently making you feel right now—this is definitely a solvable problem, so get to it sis! :)

*IF it still bugs you to even have ANY body hair, ...then I can sympathize 'cause I'm the same way. :) ~You'll need some serious money though for electrolysis or laser (not a fan of laser's questionable permanency), which is MUCH better spent on getting your facial hair removed FIRST!

P.S. - Even though she's a pornsstar, Sarina Valentina also gives some good advice on hair removal which is definitely worth checking out:

As has been said, facial hair is definitely best to prioritize first for most people. I can't imagine a case where it would be better to go for body electrolysis. If you have a lot of facial hair, it will hurt passing way more than hair on the chest... if not, then it might as well be taken care of in the little amount of time it could take. Either way.

Body hair is pretty annoying though I agree. I can't afford any sort of body electrolysis, though - it's going to be crazy expensive. Hormones can reduce body hair in some people, so pray that that works for you... otherwise, just prioritize it after the facial hair. When I have the money, I'll totally be getting electrolysis for my chest... then my belly, then probably my back. Back hair is gross. Hormones have yet to do anything there at... 10 months - though perhaps waxing will help. From what I can tell, epilating seems to have improved things. At least on my belly. Chest is certainly being stubborn. I haven't tried epilating my back yet.

Body hair is a huge source of ... dysphoria, I think, for me. It could be simple disgust however. But being practical and removing facial hair first (assuming money is an issue) is better in the long run... Hairy breasts aren't fun, I know rather well, but having a beard is a LOT less fun.

Bumping in for a few questions...

Does anyone know/Has anyone tried these "Kalo hair inhibitor" products? How well do they work? Do you have good documentation on them?

And Jordan R.T. how do you epilate your chest and belly? Do you use an epilator? I've tried, but it's just SO painful. And hairs are so resilient the epilator has to pull on them many times for them to come off, so it's like OWOWOWOOWOW for 10 seconds and then 3 hairs are gone... The only places I can do that is my lower legs and forearms... All the rest of my body is too painful...

I use an epilator on my chest/belly, and yes it hurt very badly at first.  The more you consistently use it, the less it hurts each time.  I'm at the point now where I literally do not feel anything.

I'd take body hair removal tips from a pornstar any day!

I like the video.

But does that work for facial hair? Just curious because I always thought the hair on the face are too thick to use an epilator.

I've never used an epilator on my face.  Though I don't think the hair would be too thick, just keep in mind the thicker the hair, the more well rooted it tends to be; thus the more "hacking" at each hair the epilator will need to do before it gets plucked.  I tend to imagine the face being a very painful area to epilate.

It's definitely not a good idea to epilate the face. I forgot the reason, but I'm pretty sure it was a good reason.

starting HRT will drastically reduce unwanted body hair.....

I don't really have hair on my chest or back, but I did epilate the bit of a "happy trail" that was growing, and it was rather painful, more than legs for sure. I understand that the face is important, but this method may work before HRT, while paying for expensive laser/electrolysis is not a good idea if HRT is far away. The primary spot I'm focusing on is legs, obviously having hairless legs is very beneficial unless you plan to always wear pants. HRT isn't going to stop leg hair, else GG's wouldn't need to shave. While GG's don't always shave their legs, it's going to be a pretty big red flag anyway.

HRT won't rid of leg hair, but it does make it more fine/lighter.

I epilate my face almost daily. It has worked wonders, and doesn't hurt anymore. Although I had built up a tolerance by self-waxing since I was 16. One of the most important things to remember is to sterilize your machine. Mine gets soaked in a bath of Rubbing Alcohol/Hydrogen Perodixe.(NOT MIXED) If you don't you will breakout into pimple city. Lotion is your best friend, find one that reduces irritation  and soothes the skin.

Yeah, lol, well you're right Joey... :D I just didn't know if people here have a thing against transsexuals (or anybody) in the AE industry, and I didn't want to upset anyone.
Personally, porn is not something I would be comfortable doing—but I know it pays good money, and I know people have their own reasons and their own lives.
~And Sarina seems like a pretty down-to-earth girl, IMO, when she's not promoting her image to horny guys (as her job requires).

If you started with dark facial hairs, sure, you may get excellent results. I have lots of red & blonde hairs though. Electrolysis is working wonders whereas laser never even made a dent.
~If anyone decides to get laser hair removal, just make sure you do your homework & get a written agreement beforehand with a money-back guarantee, or you may get ripped-off.
