Vincent E.S. Come ON (no judgement) U R A .....HRF  >:-) no question about it girl friend Welcome to Venus.
PS love Ur AVATAR  listen to all that music as well love it.

The reason why I don't consider myself one is because most of the stuff I listen to is classified as metal, rather than rock, but people always seem to use their own labels when it  comes to music genres. So, in your mind, what is the difference between metal and rock?
Also, why Venus?

My avatar is something I found a long time ago. I use it because it looks just like a cartoon version of my fursona. Glad you like it.

Ah. I never really followed the whole "Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus" thing because they're references to the Roman/Greek mythology of Aries vs. Aphrodite and I always found that astrological comparison in modern times to be somewhat sexist as it is saying that women are sex/love goddesses and men are violent. That's just how I see it. To me, the absence of war does not always mean there is absolute peace.
In any case, since I'm a guy, with the astro-stuff I'd be from Mars. :)
Just my opinion, though. Peace.

Thoughts on Anthrax, Testament, Death Angel, and Chimaira last night.  (not that it matter I liked Death Angel's set the best)

I'm not the biggest metal head, matter of fact my taste in metal is kinda wimpy.  Other than a bunch of Zep, Blue Oyster Cult (for personal reasons) and AC/DC I almost never listen to it outside of work.  But I've done tons and tons of metal shows.  Metal audience and hippie audiences pretty much kept live music part of rock going for 20 years.  All my exposure to metal was/is live shows, and when you hear it constantly at that level, with those kind of soundsystems, it just doesn't seem the same on the Boise wave radio.  And I really love working those shows more than any other genre of shows,  because of all the audiences the metal-heads rock the most, rock the hardest, and are having the best ->-bleeped-<-in' time.  They are people who are used to being out past 9:00 more than once a year.  And backstage at a big metal show still seems like being backstage at a rock concert.  Anymore everyone is on their electronic devices sitting around like it's a library.  But metal backstage looks like a rock and roll backstage should.  I walked through it at one point and thought "Wow, it looks like they paid the bands in hookers."

my music tastes are stuck in a time loop.
Traffic, Uriah Heep, Dio, Maiden, Queensryche, Zeppelin, Ramones, Rush.

Not to be too picky, but that's what such divisions are about, but Traffic (one of the most awesome, and at this time, criminally forgotten bands) is really a 'psychedelic' band of the late sixties who have just as much if not more stuff that is slow, smooth and jazz-like (Paper Sun, Dear Mister Fantasy, Feeling Alright, Low Spark of High Healed Boys) and folky (like John Barleycorn and 40,000 Headmen) and very little "hard rocking', and the Ramones are pure American punk, if not the premier and iconic American Punk Rockers, though the rocked, no doubt about that.

I could have done w/o the two Dave Mason songs, and I tend to skip them when I play it, but the Medicated Goo, 40,000 Headmen, and DMF are aces.
