Using a loan to pay for surgery?

For those who have had top surgery has anyone here used a loan?  Did you get a loan for the full amount or did you already have part of the money saved?  If you had some saved already how much did you have saved?  When you get the loan money do they give it to you as a check or do they send it directly to the surgeon?

Hi there. I actually got a care credit card. My surgery is December 9th with Garramone. My card was good for 4000 I only had to save up 1900. My monthly payments are only 149 a month but i plan on doing much more. I'm pretty excited.
