One of America's most influential female fashion executives is divorcing her husband and has fallen in love with another woman.

Jenna Lyons, the president and creative director of J Crew, is leaving Vincent Mazeau for a lesbian relationship with her new lover.

The marriage collapsed in the summer but the couple are now hammering out who should get custody of their son Beckett, five.

J.crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons and her artist husband, Vincent Mazeau, are in the middle of a messy divorce after splitting in the summer.

In April, a catalog photo of Lyons, where she was seen painting her son's toenails neon pink, ignited a scandal that was dubbed "Toemaggedon" by Jon Stewart.

Remember the J. Crew pink toenail controversy? MRC's Culture and Media Institute started a firestorm of controversy last spring by drawing attention to an ad in which Jenna Lyons, J. Crew president and creative director, was painting her son's toenails pink.

The caption in that ad read: "Lucky for me, I ended up with a boy whose favorite color is pink. Toenail painting is way more fun in neon."

The Daily Mail and Huffington Post reported that Lyons is leaving her husband for her lesbian lover.

The right wingers are going to have a hay day about this one. They predicted this 3 months ago that someone in their family is more than likely gay because of the toe nail polish. Defenders of the mom said toe nail polish doesn't make anyone gay.

And then this happens.

This kid is going to have some serrious issues with his mom in the future. Especially if he is raised by his father like I was.
And dad never once poisoned me against my mom. He forbid it in fact, and I still hated her for years.

I did eventually get over it and now my mother and I are very close, but it took years to repair things once I found out mom was les and thats why the family split.

This is the first case of gay "transference" I've seen. 

A straight mother decides to paint her son's toenails pink.  We already know the son will now turn out gay.  That's inevitable.  But, from what I can gather, the gay gene must have transferred over to the mother, either while she was painting her son's toenails or afterward, maybe while hugging him.  By then he would already have turned gay and the mom could have gotten gayness from her son.

This is such a tragedy!  But this is a lesson learned! - Don't paint your son's toenails, especially pink!  You'll turn him gay and it could backfire on you and turn you gay!
