Concomitant with the change in dosage and administration of Estradiol, I have observed generally significant improvements, but I noticed also that my metabolism and appetite seem to have significantly increased, as well.

I thought that the inverse was supposed to happen, here.

I'm not at all alarmed by this, but simply curious. I'll 'burn-up' most anything that I eat, anymore.

The only times where I have observed such a significant increase in metabolic rate was when I was in a 'healing phase' (for instance, when I was healing from multiple fractures secondary to a motorcycle accident, back in 1985).

Has anyone else observed such?

i thought so too.  yet my endo thinks that the reason for weight gain
is simple,  after age 30, [our metabolism slows down]! not only does this natural slowing down occur but our body makes us hold onto the fat too,  resulting in weight gain. :(

Wow, I'm impressed. Consider yourself lucky, and it's likely due to your genetics that reacts well with estradoil. I've read stories of some TS' having more positive results on hormones, losing weight and feeling physically better, and it's more to the family genetics. What are the women in your family like? The women in my family run from good German stock, and all it's typical physical attributes. I have to exercise to keep the metabolism up and weight gain in control. Good luck.
