Party-list hopeful Ang Ladlad has filed an appeal on the denial by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) of its application for party-list accreditation.
The gay-lesbian-bisexual-transgender group had planned to run in the May party-list elections and filed its petition to do so on September 15 last year.

But on February 27, the party's application for accreditation was denied by the Comelec, which had said that Ang Ladlad's membership was not nationwide in scope and thus, had failed to meet the requirements set under election laws.
