One More
Sitting and rummaging
Hoping to find just one more
Wishing to find just one more thought
Or one more word
Just one MORE to make it better
If he found one more line
If he found one more bump
If he could only find ONE MORE
Fearfully, I step to the edge
Faithfully, they rescue
Only to be wrong again
Forgiveness seems to be their nature
But nature only allows so much
So they give him what his actions wish
Warm seasons and the birth of Creator return
He trudges through the snow
Eventually, comes to the house he once knew
Shamefully, he walks to the window
He peers in
And sees them at peace
Because they fear not
They worry not...
They know he's not chasing...
Just one more.
