Eve of chaos

just came across some really old photos of me from highschool. and I was trying to figure out how much my face and body has masculanized since then. I actually dont see too much of a difference. but I wanted to post the pics and see if anyone else sees some masculanization thats happened in the years since then. :p

me in HS 16-18 yrs old

Me 22 yrs old as boy

me 22 yrs old as girl

So what changes do you see in me that have been beneficial or detrimental?

Flan

it would be better but hindsight is always 20/20. also comes the point where one wishes done even sooner then that, and sooner, and...
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

my parents told me they wish i had came out to them sooner and decided to transition in highschool, they said it would have been easier for me. im 21 now, and i cant change my past. i wish i did transition then, if i knew they were so supportive. haha but i have good results where im at now and can only hope for the fute =) dont ever think what if, it is the first step to insanity ;)

Uuuuh. Super hard to say, since you changed everything in your looks since then. The piercings in particular are extremely distracting in the analysis.

But with a high error probability, I'd say...

-You have broader shoulders.
-Your face was a little cuter. Your brow ridges have grown, I think. But maybe it's just the angle. (Not comparing with the recent female pics, though; that'd be cheating)
-You look like you were smaller.
-Did you... Have more hips?
-It looks like your arms had more female proportions, but with the gloves, it's hard to say.

Changes are quite minor overall. I think the most help you'd have gotten from earlier HRT would probably be more effect potential from recent/ongoing puberty and possible cancellation of a few older male changes, rather than no new male changes.

The hips were the biggest thing I was looking at too. I used to be told I had a really girly back end and I feel like thats changed as of late.
looking at that pic of me laying down I can really see it. I can only hope HRT brings me back to that at least. if not more :3

Awh, I honestly don't see anything that changed that badly in the face from 16-22.

You just lost your cheeks, but you'll definitely get those back on hormones.
Maybe your brow ridge might have grown a bit more.
but no worries! hair can fix that.

Were you originally a "gay guy" ?
If so, I would have adopted you as my ghey child and i'd hug you all the time.
You were adorable!

wait.. you still are :]

Honestly, it doesn't change much.

You still look the same honestly... Even in the transition photos, i can tell that is you.

Focus on what you are doing now.  That whole hippie 'be here now' deal.  Nothing can be gained (and much lost) trying to replay stuff that has already had it's last fair deal gone down.  Take where you are now without wanting the past to be any different than it was.  That way you have all your energy to work on what can be done instead of fretting about what was and what could never be.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

If you're asking ,me what you should do now?

I'd say either lose the "pig" piercing or go with something smaller for a subtle effect. It is only bringing attention to your nose. The huge one looked pretty bad.

You have loads of potential :), then and now! I would personally say loose the nose ring (purely because i dont think they look nice on either gender) but you do have a nice bodyshape and a cute smile that i recon could get you miles ;)

:3 at thank you. heh I actually wasnt gay :p I dated a lot of girls. but a common trend in these girls was they were all Bi.
I mean if we get down to the technicalities of it all I suppose I was always a lesbian :p

heh I have gone to using a much smaller septum ring these days. as you can see in the female pics. its true the big one doesnt help passing and it makes me feel less feminine.
But I like the piercing in general So I'll probably always keep it :p

Annah

for me, I am happy that I transitioned at the age of 35. I wouldn't have created 3 of the most wonderful children in the world if I transitioned younger.

If I had the ability to change when I transitioned all over again I would have done the same exact thing.

This!

It's easy to get hung up on not transitioning at a younger age. But, it's all relative. If you did this at 18, you would be saying how you wish you had done it at 16. If at 16, you would be wishing you could had prevented ALL of male puberty. We transition ONLY when we can transition.

The thing I like about what Annah said, is that we have to look at the good. For her and I, we have children. I could have done this during puberty. Would my results would had been better? Damn right they would. But I also wouldn't have my daughter, and she is more precious to me than anything. ANYTHING.

So, don't get hung up on the small things. You have your inch, now; you are free.

don't know if my life would be better at this point, but it sure would be different   ::)

It's called a septum piercing, nonetheless you look the same.

But I think you would look better with a natural tone of hair..imo.

Side note - I wanna get a monroe piercing..
living halfway between reality and fantasy at all times.

I wanted a monroe piercing...even as a boy. Now I am like 30...and I just have a nose stud.

Natural hair color definitely.

When I was a boy, I was like, "I love the shaved head and never gonna grow it out"

Guess I am gonna have to travel back in time and kick her ass.

I don't know about others, but I can see some definite masculization of your features.
Specifically:
-Heavier brow ridge
-More male proportioned body (Broader shoulders, relatively less hips and shorter arms.)
-'Fuller Face' that is, more square and bulky.
-More prominent nose.

Although your body did get more masculine, I don't think you should want to change how everything worked out. You look fantastic! Why give up something that is good, for the possibility of a better thing. Who knows, 'mones work in mysterious ways, you could have ended up perpetually looking 14.

I think we all have to deal with regret over not transitioning earlier. However, if we followed that path (according to the infinite regress of reason.) we would have to regret ever being born.
