Hi everyone,
My name is Emma and as you may have guessed from the title I'm from the UK. I'm due to have SRS in a few weeks, so I'll probably post a seperate thread about that, but thought I should introduce myself here too.

I'm 25 and I knew I was a girl from about the age of 7 (or at least that's when I knew for sure and made my first attempt to tell my mum). However despite knowing from a young age, my parents were not and continue to not be supportive, so I didn't properly transition till I went to Uni. That was 2005 and I've been on hormones since jan 07. So I'm pretty far along in my transition and in my life, and to be honest beig trans doesn't effect my life in a big way, as I'm stealth to everyone but my family and gf.

Surgery is getting close though now and although I haven't posted on trans forums for a few years, I thought that right now I could do with chatting to other trans people who understand what I'm going through. Particularly so as none my friends are aware I having surgery in three weeks! Plus I have absolutely no contact with other trans people where I live, I was told about local NHS support groups but declined as frankly I don't identify as trans day to day.

Anyway that's a little about me, I look forward to posting in the next few weeks

hi emma
I'm from Uk too.. and just jumped out of my skin when a big firework went off right outside!
I had surgery in January and its healed OK but not tried it out yet.
Keep away from NHS support groups as they are mostly wannabes and non-ops.
I work in hospital office since 2007 with no problems even though I have quite a high visible profile locally and will have a national one in early 2012.
and for that matter I did a topless photoshoot for national paper early this year.   :D
where are you having surgery?
