How much did blockers/hormones cost? How much does a therapists cost? How much did the final srs cost (for post op woman)? And how much is electrolysis? Or laser? Which do you prefer?

Well, I can't speak from experience on a lot of this.  I had been told to expect about $60 / month for hormones without insurance.  I briefly saw a therapist for free because of my financial situation and being able to characterize my sessions as dealing with substance abuse.  Now, it's going to be $20 per office visit through my insurance.  There's a place near me that does full face laser for $50 per session and a different place that does electrolysis for $100 per session.  From what I've heard, laser is much faster and cheaper, but simply can't get rid of lighter hairs and is less effective if you have darker skin.  I was looking at Dr. McGinn for SRS (aka GCS) and she charges $18,500 for basic vaginoplasty.

You have been told how to find a therapist numerous times.

Whuh?!  You can just get that much money?!  That's more than half a year's salary for me!

I can make half of it in a year and my mommy and daddy would pay the rest to make me happy and I loomed for some in south carolina I can't find any that look like they know what their doing

Yeah, you probably can't go local.  You can find just about anything in Chicago, but not a well-reviewed surgeon for GCS.  I like to give people a chance without necessarily taking a lack of reputation into account for most things; because everyone's got to start somewhere, but this is something I absolutely don't want to just go with whoever on.

I think that if you really have trouble finding a therapist that has experience with gender problems, then you can probably still find someone that will be helpful and calling them. Ask them about it and you will likely be able to tell from their reply (and the tone of voice they use) if they'd at least be open to properly research the case.
