The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. Not easy to do. But one thing that has helped me was to get a lot of good praise and worship music. The kind that is based on scripture. Stay away from the light fluffy feel good music that isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Quite a bit of modern Christian music (Mostly chorases) are scriptures set to music and I found that with it being set to music it is far easier for me to remember. A wider range helps to as their are times when we need to be quiet before God and be able to see God's awesomeness,Holiness, and purity. and then there are times to just crank the speakers and just let go. (I mean we go crazy just because a football player makes a good touchdown pass but yet we don't think that God will be pleased with us doing the same thing to shout out "Yeah God")
Sorry getting a bit off track. The point is that we are told to do A first then comes B. See when we let God change our mind set it changes us inside and the things we were prone to do have less of a hold on us.
