My S.O.  decide to take me on a shopping spree the other day!    ;D We live in a small town, so we had to drive two hours to the big city. She wanted me to go out presenting as me!   :)  This was my first time out of the house as me!  :icon_help:   I was so excited but scared. Anyways I put on my snap it bracelet, some cute panties, my only pair of tight girly jeans and a t shirt!  She said I looked androgyny(made me feel good), which is  better than masculine. We went out to eat and i didn't get any stares, which was good, i was so scared to be out just like that. She took me to a hair salon to get a hair cut, I was getting really bushy and poofy  O0 since I have been growing my hair out (from a flat top razor fade, so its taking forever). To my surprise, there was another mtf at the same salon, getting highlights!  :o it was so nice, to not be alone. My new stylist is awesome not to mention such a cutey! She is so nice and was understanding of my needs.  My hair looks great I think, for now anyways. I still want it long so this is just and in between cut.  After my cut we drove to the mall, the first store I walked into was an accessory store, ooh they had so many cute things, I purchased a cute little ring with a blue heart stone, some pink & silver bangles, and a bracelet.  While I was looking around a lady walked up and handed me a little basket to fill with my items, not even a strange look from her or any of the customers. My S.O. said she wanted to buy me some outfits, so we went down the line of stores! Our next store had some Dickies girl pants I wanted in the window, so we went in, we didn't buy the pants due to my style wasn't available.  But we did purchase matching  belts. Anyways the significance of this store was when I went up to pay for my items. The clerk was a boy in his twenties and his father, they both did a triple take on me, when they asked me for my I.d. to charge my credit card.  :o whoah ....wait what? I had to say yes that's me!  ::) Ha ha it was so funny! It gave me a confidence boost. My S.O. had brought some makeup along in just case I got brave. I asked her if we could go back to the car and put it on, it was only eyeshadow, mascera and lipgloss. So here I am wearing makeup now, in public!  :icon_eek: Wow.. was i nervous and shaking in my shoes. We walked back in the mall and walked into the famous shoe store, I found the cutest sneakers and some cute sketchers, I didn't even get a glance from the other customers or clerks, I was like " I can do this?"  :icon_dance: We then proceded to the JCpenny, were I found my dickies pants that I was looking for. I tried them on in the fitting room and wow....  did they make my butt look nice!  :icon_booty-nerd: Lol. Lets just say I bought three pairs.  ;D I also purchased some cute hoody jackets, same reactions here from customers, none.  Ok we went to pay, the clerk and older lady asked my S.O. if this was here new wardrobe  :( she said yes to avoid anything. But this lady then also double took me,  :embarrassed: but she then read my name of my I.d. aloud.  ::) I didn't enjoy that, but so far she was the only one that really bugged, but she did compliment me. She said i looked 18 not 27....yay!   :eusa_dance: We then went over to Sally's and purchased a hair straightener. They guy clerk gave me no trouble or a weird look. Well before i ramble on and on,   :icon_blahblah:  oops did that!  ::) I kid you not, there was not one clothes or accessory store we didn't purchase from. I got three dickies form fitting pants, two pairs shoes, a bra, 2 sets bangles, two cute rings, necklace, and some spaget ti straps and tees (like 12 total).  ;D pretty awesome! Over all a fantastic day and confidence, self esteem boost.    :icon_boogy: My S.O. was super excited through it all!  :icon_tetter: I just came out to her six months ago. She has called me Jenny and has used female pronouns from day one, I came out to her.  She also calls me her little princess, I love it!  :icon_chick:

Awesome story, grinned the whole time reading it. ;D I am a little jelous, though. It's going to take at least a year for me to be able to do what you did :-\ . Not to mention mustering up the courage. ::) And even then I may totally not pass.

Happy for you, though! :D Always nice to see a sister going out there as their true self and loving it.

yes it was amazing, I'm glad it brought a smile to your face. It is very exciting to fit in and feel right, but I was still too worried of being looked at or commented, they I didn't enjoy it to its fullest intent. Maybe next time!

Phuh. You actually looked slightly similar to what I look like currently (apart from the awesome darker skin). Doubt I'll get good results out of it, though D: I'm just not hopeful about it. How long have you been on HRT?

It was a slightly surprised, good 'phuh'. c:

You're not even on ... ? Sheesh n.n If I tried to pass as I am, I'd get stared and laughed at. :( You must look very feminine in person (which I can't tell from the picture since they almost never do justice).

Perfect day for it, the malls I went through yesterday were dead, it was so not happening out there in retail land, guess everyone was waiting until Friday.  Safeway however.... couldn't get near one.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

It's good to hear stories like this. My S.O. has been great with me (though slow to come around) and has taken me out a few times to pick up bras and stuff.

I haven't left the house fully dressed but she has let me pick up a few clothes and had me model them for her.

Happy days Jenny.
