Sorry if this has already been done but I searched and didn't find anything except in the MTF boards.

When I first started my transition I looked towards my older brother and styled myslef after him (I figure we look alike, so anything that suits him should have suited me. I was wrong), but now I've become more comfortable with myself I feel like I can draw inspiration from other sources.

I guess what I'm asking is do you guys see men either in real life or in the media and take inspiration from their style?

I personally find myself shopping and think 'oh, this is so *person*' and I just have to have it.

I think the two biggest style influences are:

Liam Dryden

And Aerial Manx (who's photo really doesn't show his style in the least)

If you've got a strong stomache, may I suggest looking Aerial Manx up on YT? He's an insanely talented circus artist.

I don't think anyone inspired my look. I just tried to do the best I did and then I turned out like this

I really don't have 'a look' per se. There's so many things that inspire me or that I see and go "OOH! NEAT! I WANT ONE OF THOSE!"
I like to dress smartly, but not too formal. And, given my love for anime and how I have to climb into nasty, greasy presses all day, I'm seriously considering getting my hair cut like this:

Rather than grow it out. But that character kind of inspires me too. But I'm open to opinions about hair length and style.
Also, a look that I used to wear was pretty much this:

But I'm 32 yrs old now. Best I do now is Cargo Pants.

No one inspires my look these days. I've developed my own sense of style.

I used to take fashion cues from Jeydon Wale (who is internet-famous trans guy - jeyyounit11 on YouTube) but his style is too childish and approval-seeking to me now. Here is an example:

I've also been influenced in the past by 90s male hip-hop fashion minus the huge chains.

Many, many things this guy wears are "looks" that I rock. And it's not like I go out of my way to copy him either ... it's just kind of my style as well.

I also go for that andro Joan Jett look ... yum.

I guess a lot of my inspiring people are rockers.

Honestly, I can't say I base my look on a specific person - though my style does tend to draw influences from the music I listen to.
If I'm not wearing gym wear, I usually look pretty folksy.

I wish somebody inspired my look. I have no idea what I'm doing.

I tend toward utilitarian, and I take great pride in not owning new things. I sew and patch my clothes. Those facts are my only basis for picking stuff out, so beyond comfort, idk what features to look for. I'm awkwardly fashion-blind.

I don't really have a person, but I'll admit that I love basically every look by Armani Exchange.
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

A blah blog

No one really inspired my look, I'm just a metalhead with long hair who wears a band shirt, hoodie and jeans. I have a desire to wear smarter clothes sometimes because I think it looks good on other people, but when I do I feel like i'm wearing a costume.

hmm thats a hard one.. when I where younger I where just inspired by the casual guys around, I where pretty much doing the street art thing, scater style, if you could call it that..
--
now when i grow older I feel all owerwelm because I dont have 1 simple style, I like to experiment, and in general theres so many cool think I would try on if I could do it all.. I love punk, I also love casual.. its kinda wird..

I think many people have inspired me, I guess one of my friends been the biggest inspiration, she wasnt what I would call punk or goth, neither casual. she had her own style, liked to play teather and her dress up where somewhere in a special style where she could come with a cap on.

I kinda made up a team for myself inspired by her I calle drama" which, mean to dress up for you mood, because she could come to school one day with a big hat on, and the next with no one.. I also think it more fits me since I tend to dress for what my mood is..

Sometimes, it's hard to find words to tell you how much you mean to me. A lot of times, I don't say anything at all. But I hope someday, you'll understand, having you is what I live for...(I Love you my Queen )

no one in specific i used to base what i thought looked cool of of what the jocks in my school wore but now im stepping to the beat of my own drum. although when i need a new hairstyle i go searching for inspiration.

I really like 60s British style - mod and skinheads (traditional skins) For work I tend to wear slim-cut trousers, slim shirt and a nice jumper (I would love to wear a suit, but the dress code is sadly smart casual!) For days off, it's jeans or chinos, DM boots or Converse, button-down shirt or polo shirt buttoned up, and cardigan or hoodie. I try to stay smarter because I feel more confident that way, and I think I look a bit older too.

I do a lot of generic H&M and Topman looks, though usually with toned down colours. But I do enjoy combing through whatever's popular on lookbook.nu. But I can't think of a single person I try to emulate ;_;

My style is the mainstream AE, Hollister, and Abercrombie.
Push it baby, push it baby, out of control, I got my gun cocked tight and I'm ready to blow. ;)

I don't know if I have a certain look but I'd say my friends would be confused to see me wear tight jeans or anything like that. I usually wear hoodies, t-shirts and jeans which tend to be a bit oversized (it's damn hard to find right-sized jeans for my size, seeing I'm very small). I'm bad at combining colors, too so my clothes are pretty much black. If I wanna get more stylish for some certain event, I'll usually go with dress shirts.

I'm all over the place. For the most parts, I'm a hoodies-and-jeans person, because its comfy (and I'm fat) and somewhat out of habit. During the better (colder) parts of the year, I'm able to wear more of my crazy stuff, like my giant trench and big stompy boots. Marilyn Manson has always been my biggest inspiration, in any arena. Don't worry though. I'm not going to go running around in a corset and jockstrap anytime soon lol.

Other than that, I don't think I've got anyone specific really. If I see something I like, I'll try and find something similar.

Who inspires my look?

haha, but in all seriousness, I wear jeans, tee shirts, cargo shorts, hoodies, and the occasional button down all the time. My look is inspired by thrift store creeping, comfort and mix and match capabilities.

A few years ago I wanted to look like Oliver Sykes, but without the tattoos. I don't have any specific person I want to look like, but if I had a person I would want to be inspired from, it would be Matthew Gray Gubler.

He plays Spencer Reid in Criminal Minds. Great show. He's a artist too. I like his work, its really awesome.
