Some bad news and some good news. The bad news that my feet are swollen. If you read my past threads on my neuropathy in both feet, I had some therapy for 7 months using IVIg (immunogloublin) to treat this autoimmune disorder. Well I've been off of that since March and that part is getting better. I went to the podiatrist today and he brought in my doctor, down the hall, to look at my swollen feet. This was definitely not caused by catching something from the IVIg treatments, about 10,000 donors, each dose! So I went into my doctors office and he gave me an EKG, as a heart condition is the main cause for water swelling (edema) in the feet. The EKG was textbook excellent and was the best he seen all day as he was doing that all morning to his other patients. He had me get off of estradiol for awhile as that is also an indication of edema in the feet and/or hands.
The good news is that he upped my dose of Spiro to help flush out the edema and keep my testosterone and PSA levels down. A blood work in a month. Still considered HRT treatment. The Ticker below stays!

Being off of Estradiol for 1 month, I am now off of the Spironolactone as well. That was causing a lot of fatigue and the swelling of the feet seems to be HRT related. I will be off of both for a few months anyway to give my body a rest. As with the neuropathy, that still shows some improvement with less night pain in the feet. A more comprehensible Prostrate test may be in the offing later as I found out that my younger brother has prostate cancer. He is being given an MRI today to see the extant of the spread. It may seem that he may be a DES son as well as there are no other prostate cancer cases in my family.
Thus far, no return of the dysphoria or depression this month off of E. Doctor says to return to the Spiro if my feet swells up again.
