I just got diagnosed with PID for the second time in my life (neither time associated with std), and also they found a large cyst and a lot of swelling in one of the ovaries. I had tubal ligation recently, but they said they don't know how this happened or whether it's related to that. I've had a lot of uterine problems this past year, and my gynecologist ignores everything I say and keeps bringing up gender even when it's irrelevant. I think she suspects that either I am or I am going to try to "trick" her into giving me a hysterectomy.
I'm going to a new, confirmed trans friendly gynecologist in January, and I think I'm a great candidate for removal of that stupid pain and bleeding machine. I've had two pregnancies (one spontaneous miscarriage and one full term birth), PID twice, cysts, and I'm 30, sterile, and will be on T in a week. My periods have been pretty hellish for a year and a half. And the whole thing got shifted to one side since I broke my pelvis in a few places in a car wreck awhile back.
Good luck with the gatekeepers. Being on T should be a pretty good argument in itself.
